We are pleased to say that our location and facilities allow us to offer many different activities for you – whether you seek nature, romance, history, culinary delights or relaxation.

First and foremost, your visit to the chateau would not be complete if you didn’t take the time to experience the beauty of the natural environment in which it is surrounded.

1000’s of hectares of unspoilt countryside surround this area and the combination of flat and hilly areas make it an ideal place to go bicycling, jogging, walking, mushroom and escargot finding, wildlife studying etc. Our parkland consists of many mature and beautiful trees shading most natural paths and making your activity easy even on the hottest days.

In addition to the stunning natural environment you may engage in man-made activities such as swimming, golf, horseback riding, ballooning, fishing, flying, day trips to chateaux, roman churches or picturesque villages etc. We can arrange these activities upon request with our partners in nearby farms or villages.

You may also indulge in other activities such as.
• Wine tasting and purchasing. There are many famous vineyards within easy driving distance of our chateau. A list can be provided on request.
• Shopping for Antiques/Brocantes in the nearby villages (i.e. Autun, Nolay, Chalon sur Saone, Bourbon Lancy, Nevers). Brocantes are usually held on Sundays and some on Saturdays. A list of dates and locations can be provided.
• Visiting local food markets in the neighboroughing picturesque villages. So far, the best local food market is in Autun and is held on Wednesday and Friday mornings.
• Visiting a variety of Museums. A famous one is the museum of Saptenat where a previous president of France has his international gifts displayed. Or see the Lycee Bonaparte where Napoleon and his brothers where educated.
